World of Stock (www.worldofstock.com) was launched in 2003 as an independent stock photography portal. It soon grew to over 130 photographers, over $1 million in sales and eventually over 300,000 images. It was hand coded using primarlily PHP and MySQL. In 2014 World of Stock has been re-configured to be a stock photo hosting provider, allowing independent photographers the ability to organize, market and license their own photos.
